Connecticut is one of the states that comprise of New England. It has an Atlantic coastline and borders the state of Rhode Island to the east, New York state to the west and Massachusetts to the north. The state capital of Connecticut is Hartford, although the largest city is Bridgeport.

Of the 600 miles of coastline there are a tremendous amount of wrecks to dive of all descriptions such as passenger ships, tugs, yachts, warships, plus some submarines. For shore diving, Kings Beach is a popular location, plus there are quarries, rivers and lakes, such as Candlewood Lake. Out of state dive locations that Connecticut dive shops use are Dutch Springs in Pennsylvania and Cape Ann in Massachusetts, which are very popular.
