When to dive in Komodo

The best time to dive in Komodo is during the dry season, from April to November. This period offers calm seas, excellent visibility, and favorable weather conditions for diving. Water temperatures range from 26°C to 29°C (79°F to 84°F), making it comfortable for divers. While diving is possible year-round, the dry season provides the most consistent conditions, with clear waters and optimal conditions for spotting diverse marine life, including manta rays, sharks, and vibrant coral reefs. The wet season (December to March) can bring stronger currents and reduced visibility, but some experienced divers still enjoy the quieter, less crowded sites.
