The state capital is Jefferson City, although the most populated city is Kansas City. Geographically, one of the most important features is the confluence of the 3 greatest rivers in North America, with the Mississippi and Missouri joining in St Louis and the Ohio River meeting the Mississippi.

The main and most well known dive location in Missouri is the Bonne Terre Mine, which is a national historic site and is also the largest fresh water dive resort in the world. Visibility is an amazing 100 feet and the water temperature remains a constant 58f/14c.
