Unlike other Pacific Islands, Nauru has limitations as a holiday destination. Yes, the weather is great but it only has a few white beaches and even these tend to be rocky. It will take a lot of imagination to make the wasteland of open cut phosphate mines (its primary activity since 1907 which has now been exhaused) and which looks like a moon crater, a tourist attraction.
Diving information is sketchy; as a destination, Nauru seems questionable. But, if you know something that we don't know, please email us!
