Oklahoma is located in the Great Plains area and in the southern central area of the US. The state borders Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Texas. The capital city of Oklahoma is Oklahoma City, which is also the most populated city.

The climate of Oklahoma can be quite extreme and can be prone to tornados. The winters are cold, with hot summers. For Oklahoma City, the average January temperatures are 37°f/3°c and the July averages are 82°f/28°c. Rainfall for Oklahoma City is about 36 inches per year.

Oklahoma is a land locked state, but there are two lakes that are popular and offer good diving. One is Lake Tenkiller which is 160 feet and is noted as having the best visibility at 10-30 feet. There is a submerged town and also a plane to dive to. Another lake is Broken Bow, which has visibility of 5-25 feet. There are plenty of fish to see, such as Bass, Catfish and Sunfish. Other lakes that offer diving are Lake Murray and Elmer Thomas, but visibility can be poor.
