Serbia is a country located in Balkan Peninsula, southeastern Europe. It has a population of 7 million, of which a vast majority is Serbs. The country has an immensely rich culture and history and the people are hospitable, joyful and sporty. This landlocked country has enough to attract visitors from all over the world, who eventually fall in love with Serbia’s culture, traditions, history, natural beauty, cuisine and above all, its people. The landscape of this beautiful European nation is as varied as it could be. It has lush plains, majestic mountains, lakes, reservoirs and stunning ski resorts. Serbia is the birth place of nearly 17 Roman emperors, who all built monuments to honor their love for the land. Serbia is also the site of the earliest human settlement in Europe. The longest stretch of the famous Danube River is in Serbia. The climate of Serbia is also diverse. North has continental climate, central parts have moderate continental climate and south has hot and dry summers and very cold winters with lots of snowfall. Serbia has many imposing medieval castles, monasteries, villages and modern architectural structures.
