Serbia is the birth place of nearly 17 Roman emperors, who all built monuments to honor their love for the land. Serbia is also the site of the earliest human settlement in Europe. The longest stretch of the famous Danube River is in Serbia. The climate of Serbia is also diverse. North has continental climate, central parts have moderate continental climate and south has hot and dry summers and very cold winters with lots of snowfall. Serbia has many imposing medieval castles, monasteries, villages and modern architectural structures.
