Iguana Divers

Iguana Divers is a small family run dive centre located in the famous surf town of Santa Teresa which is situated on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Our mission is to inspire personal involvement in the collective effort to heal our oceans. 

At Iguana Divers we feel so fortunate to be able to spend our days doing the things that we enjoy: diving, exploring, spending time in nature and sharing this experience with our students and fellow divers.

Each member of our team feels a connection with the ocean. We all feel happy to be out here, seeing first-hand what the incredible ocean has to offer and consequently learning how we can conserve the ecosystem. 

One thing we can count on in our mercurial Pacific is excitement. We dive it every day and are always looking forward to the adventures and surprises it may bring. Even from one dive to the next the conditions can vary greatly, so we always brief our divers on the potential of challenging conditions, which invariably make for a fun and memorable experience. Sharks, morays, lobsters, sting rays, crabs, and schools of colorful fish are all creatures we see on a daily basis. In addition, we have two distinct seasons for very special visitors: the oceanic manta ray (January-April) and the humpback whales (August-September).

We hope that on every outing we will share with you our curiosity and sense of amazement, and through that wonder, ignite your interest in finding different ways of participating in its protection.
