Espirito Azul Dive Center

Espirito Azul Dive Center is a PADI dive center founded by three lovers of the sea.

This well-equipped center has a shop for diving equipment and repairing facilities, and offers snorkeling, boat rentals including a skipper for boat rides alongside the lovely coast of S.Miguel Island, and a full service PADI dive center open all year long, with at least two dive trips a day, from the Vila Franca do Campo harbour. Courses from basic level to Instructor training as well as Tec Diving are on offer.

Espirito Azul dive trips offer a different and unique experience where the volcanic reefs, arches, underwater caves and wrecks are predominant. The team go out at least twice a day (meeting hours at 9.00 and 14.00), everyday, all year round. The waters here attract groupers, parrot fish, stingrays, morenas, congers, mackerel, barracudas, manta rays, octopuses, tunas, black jacks and lots of other Atlantic species. The surface water temperature varies from 16ºC to 24ºC, with visibility of up to 40 meters.
