Escape the everyday and dive into Wonder Reef, the world’s first buoyant reef. Breaking the mould of the traditional dive site, Wonder Reef is a fusion of art, science, and engineering. Located just a 10 minute boat ride from the Gold Coast Seaway, Wonder Reef is a hidden world, positioned perfectly with the city’s vibrancy as its backdrop.
Wonder Reef has been purposely designed to attract and sustain a rich variety of marine life and offer an iconic and exciting dive experience for divers of all levels.
Openings, ledges and cryptic spaces allow light and currents to flow through the sculptures, creating ideal habitats for flora, fish and invertebrates. Certified divers can pause at different depths of this vertical drop dive to witness the ever-changing ecosystem, the deeper you dive. Explore with Indian scad bait fish, giant gold-spotted rock cods, Queensland groupers, and sequined mulloway and admire the beautiful coral as it evolves over time.
