The dive starts at the First Cave then moves on to the Swim Through and finally the Second Cave, after which divers ascend slowly and drift in the current. We do not dive against the current but drift with it, so stay with Dive Master and enjoy the ride.
This reef is world famous for the Ragged Tooth Sharks that call Protea Banks their home from around May to December each year. They move into the cave area in large numbers often over 150 strong. Zambezi's (Bull) Sharks and Blacktips can be seen here year round. The Tiger Sharks comes around from February too May. It is not unusual to see 4/5 species of sharks on a dive.
You need to be Advanced for this dive and have at least 35 dives. It is also good if you have dived in the last year.
Baited Dives are also conducted in this area. Great experience for those that want real close encounters with Sharks. If you are a keen photographer then be ready for some great photo opportunities.
