This cavern is easily the best cavern dive on the Balearic Islands and a ‘must’ for every diver. We anchor in the bay next to the cavern entrance, which consists of an enormous crack with a depth of 12 meters, but 6 meters are sufficient to enter the cavern. Inside we have the choice to ascend to the surface or do the underwater part first. Whichever way, at the ‘end’ of Pont d’en Gil we find another small cave. At the end of this cave we can see ‘English Beach’, so called as this is the only beach where the English don’t get a sun burn :) Depending on the experience of the divers, we can leave the cavern via the large entry or take the ‘emergency exit’; a tunnel that takes us directly into the bay where the boat is waiting. Words would not do any justice to describe Pont d’en Gil, so we recommend you dive it. We schedule this dive on a weekly basis.
