Der Einstieg zum Tauchplatz links (Richtung Vitznau) erfolgt über eine Treppe. Das Tauchgelände ist geeignet für die Ausbildung, hat aber auch schöne Felsformationen und Seegraswiesen.
Der Tauchplatz rechts (Richtung Weggis) ist nur für erfahrene Taucher empfohlen. Der Einstieg über eine Treppe führt direkt zu einem steil abfallenden Gelände. Der übliche Tauchgang geht zur rechten Seite. Nach ca. 10-15 Minuten hängt ein langer Baum senkrecht in der zerklüfteten Wand.
Das Gebiet Riedsort ist ein beliebter Platz für viele Freizeitsportler. Für die Taucher gelten strenge Verhaltensregeln. Diese sind bei den Ein- und Ausstiegen markiert.
