Hin Wong bay is a large horseshoe shaped bay with some protection and is located on the north east coast of Koh Tao.
With a large area of coastline, snorkelers can literally spend hours at Hin Wong and at certain times of the year you will see significant numbers of Black Tip Reef Sharks almost every day.
Hin Wong bay is also relatively large and there is a lot to discover when scuba diving and a myriad of different routes you can take as you explore underwater.
The southern side of Hin Wong bay is best for snorkeling and you will see thousands of Fusiliers, Rabbitfish, different species of Parrotfish, Sergeant Majors and there is a cave you can swim through in the corner of this side of the bay.
Hin Wong bay shoreline is made up of granite boulders that have fused with Coral underwater at various points, which has created miniature pockets of activity and marine life as you swim around the bay.
