Malapascua is just off the northern tip of Cebu, an easy ride from Cebu international airport. The island is famous for the daily sightings of and up-close encounters with Thresher Sharks, but that's not all. Here you can also see many other varieties of sharks and rays, dive on one of several shipwrecks from 5 meters deep to 115 meters deep, and enjoy some shallow coral, or deep wall dives. There is something to entertain divers of any level, and the backdrop of the beautiful tropical island makes it your perfect destination.

The resort has great dining and entertainment options in the craic house, our on-site restaurant and bar, the rooms all open directly onto golden sand and stunning ocean views.

What to expect

After a 45 minute boat ride to Gato Island, you will do your first dive. Usual sites are South Wall or Cathedral. Enjoy the beautiful reef that comes all the way to the surface, allowing you to maximise your dive time and gas right up to the last breath.

During your surface interval, enjoy a delicious local style feast on the boat while watching sea gulls arrive to and leave from the high rocky island.

Your second dive will be either North Wall or the Tunnel, only Advanced Open Water divers may pass through the tunnel, so it's worth being certified AOW. Look out of lots of whitetip sharks at the exit to the tunnel and enjoy mating cuttlefish at the right time of year.
