Diving in Arizona

Explore diving in Arizona

Famous for the Grand Canyon, the desert state of Arizona also contains several fresh water lakes- the majority of which are manmade and perfect for divers.

Lake Mohave is highly regarded as one of the best dive sites in Arizona and a mecca for topside water activities. With a maximum depth of 100 feet when full, the lake offers great visibility with sunfish, crappie, bass and trout all living here. A firm favourite dive area at Lake Mohave includes Cabinsite Point, which features a sunken bus, van and boat.

Off the beaten track in south-eastern Arizona lies Parker Canyon Lake. Whilst exploring the lake keep an eye peeled for largemouth bass, channel catfish, sunfish, and rainbow trout. Whereever you decide to dive in Arizona, you will encounter some fantastic underwater canyons, rock formations and great marine life.

When to dive in Arizona

Water temperatures sit between 50-60°F/10-15°C year round so a 7mm or dry suit would be advised.

We also advise divers to check the water levels of the lake you are planning to visit beforehand.
