Addu Atoll The most southern atoll of the Maldives, which is located south of the equator and used to be a British Royal Air Force base. Here are some possible sites you may visit: The Manta Cleaning Station in Maa Kandu is located inside the northern channel at a depth of 17-20 meters.
The British Loyalty is 134 meters long and sits at a depth of 33 meters, lying on its port side. From the surface, when visibility is good, it is possible to see the starboard-side railings 15 meters below. The propeller is at a depth of between 23m and 28m and originally had 4 blades, each 2m long. The top blade is missing today, but the remaining 3 are complete and covered with corals.
Everyday morning when the incoming current starts we see a couple of mantas on cleaning stations.
the best thing is we don't have a season for mantas, it's all year round.
