Dorset benefits from miles of coastline with a variety of different habitats from reefs to an abundance of historic shipwrecks and shore dives. This variety and accessibility makes Dorset a paradise for divers at all levels.
Take a trip to the Jurassic Coast (a World Heritage Site) and you’ll find dramatic, red cliffs preserving millions of years of natural history and surrounding some of the UK’s best dive sites. Weymouth and Portland offer both shore dives and the M2 submarine and Aeolian Sky are both top wrecks to visit for more experienced divers.
For beginners a dive under Swanage Pier is the perfect place to start, and if you haven't been before, why not book a PADI Discover Local Diving experience to make sure you are safe and really get the most out of your visit.
A drysuit is recommended all year when diving in the UK. In the summer months, you may be able to opt for a 7mm.
