Located in a marine park encompassing the world’s highest coral reef biodiversity, Wakatobi is considered one of the world's premier dive destinations. Resort Description

Wakatobi Dive Resort is an all inclusive eco dive resort located in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia in the Banda Sea. 

Within this UNESCO Marine Biosphere Reserve and macro haven, look out for cuttlefish, lionfish, sea turtles, scorpionfish, pufferfish, mantis shrimp, octopus, bubble coral shrimp, frogfish, pygmy seahorses, pipefish, nudibranchs, various species of corals, large sea fans, and more. 

Lush vegetation and palm trees are lined with a white sand beach and turquoise waters. The resort is comprised of traditionally-styled buildings with hardwood floors and thatched roofs, linked by sandy floored paths throughout the palms.

Each hand crafted and air-conditioned Bungalow or Villa is furnished with neutral pieces, breezy drapes and local artwork.

The restaurant serves freshly prepared, refined cuisine using local ingredients for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. 

Facilities include a spa, library and boutique. Regular marine wildlife presentations and village tours are arranged.

How to get there

Arrival

  • Wakatobi Resort's private air charter provides a direct connection to and from Bali’s International Airport for an additional charge (please inquire). 
  • Flights to and from the resort are currently scheduled on Mondays and Fridays.
  • Check-in time for charter flights from Bali to Wakatobi's private airstrip is 6:45am (strongly advised to arrive the day before).
  • In Bali International Airport you will be assisted by Wakatobi Resort's concierge team.
  • You will also enjoy access to a VIP airport lounge for refreshments and breakfast upon morning check-in for the flight to the resort. 
  • If you wish to arrange your own transportation you need to book a domestic flight from Bali to Makassar or Kendari; from here you can schedule local flights to Wangi-Wangi, and after a one-night stay, a local ferry to Tomia Island where you will be greeted by a member of our resort staff.

Departure

  • If you have booked with the private air charter, your arrival back into Bali Domestic Airport will be mid-afternoon. To ensure a reasonable connection time, please only arrange onward connects after 5:30pm.
