It is our priority to keep our guests and crew safe while travelling with us. Not only that, but we want our guests and crew to have the greatest confidence that their safety and wellbeing have been thoroughly considered. To this end, we have put in place a range of measures and associated protocols to manage our expeditions in a world in which COVID-19 exists. We have partnered with Respond Global, an experienced medical advisory agency, to assist us in developing a prevention and response system that is among the most thorough in the world. Our plan focuses on prevention, to target a 100% COVID free environment when we set sail. We will implement a three-tiered medical screening protocol which includes testing for COVID-19, and will ensure that everyone on board will have passed through this screening process. This prevention protocol will be supported by strict onboard mitigation actions and an approved response plan. This plan will be supported by our Standard Operation Procedures, developed for each vessel with cruise profile specific requirements. These procedures have enabled us to maintain a high standard of safety and guest comfort for over 35 years – a record we are proud of. We trust this SailSAFE Plan offers you peace of mind as you plan your explorations of Australia’s coastline, and then the world, with Coral Expeditions.

Coral Adventurer first set sail in April 2019, and is designed and built to take you closer to unspoilt areas in comfort, style and safety.

The ship has one suite category and four stateroom categories, all outside and above deck with portholes or sea view windows and en suite bathrooms.

Dining aboard the Coral Adventurer

Single seating dining around a communal table encourages mingling with fellow travelers. Meals are served as buffet breakfast and lunch, and a multi-course plated dinner. All meals on board are made in small batches, with light and healthy options always available. A selective wine list of Australian wine is available.

Start the day with a continental breakfast, complete with cereals, fresh fruits and yogurts or enjoy a fully cooked breakfast. The lunch buffet showcases a variety of hot and cold dishes, from salads and cold cuts to lighter soups and fresh local seafood and tropical fruits. Dinner is usually a three-course meal from a table d’hôte menu and there is always a choice of main course options. Most of the expeditions feature a welcome seafood buffet night and an Australian-style barbeque either on a deserted beach or the sundeck.

Selected beers, juices and soft drinks are also available at the multiple indoor and outdoor bars. Barista-style coffee and tea are complimentary and available 24 hours, scones or cakes for tea are always a welcome treat after an excursion. If guests have special dietary requirements, these may be accommodated with advanced notice.

A true expedition vessel

You'll find a small library on the bridge deck featuring books on destinations and wildlife, and an amazing lounge with multimedia is equipped for daily expedition briefings and presentations. Add to this also a special multipurpose room dedicated to host scientific research or exhibitions giving to the Coral Adventurer an atmosphere of an expedition vessel.

Bars, wine cellars, and a gym

The ship feature also multiple indoor and outdoor bars, including the Explorer Bar on the vista deck for sunset drinks. A curated wine cellar offers boutique wines and exceptional Australian reds.

A well-equipped Gym and a passenger elevator accessing all decks ensure everyone can move around the ship with ease.

Stroll around the promenade deck

Enjoy over 1000 sq m of open deck space including a wrap-around promenade deck with panoramic views. The navigator observation lounge in the bridge welcomes you to chat with the captain and comfortably observe the ship’s operations and navigation.

Two Xplorer tenders seat all passengers for comfortable shore excursions, six zodiacs are used for the more intrepid exploration. On select departures, kayaks and/or a glass-bottom boat are also on board. Shallow draft and advanced navigation and propulsion systems allow access to locations closed to large cruise ships, and her active stabilizers dampen sea motion.
