Coral Geographer is a brand new luxury expedition ship, sister ship to Coral Adventurer, setting sail in 2021.
Staying true to the nature of authentic expeditions, she will sail to some of the most remote islands in the Indian Ocean. The ship is small enough to reach untouched places, focusing on bringing small numbers of like-minded guests closer to nature and cultures, with personal attention and professional Australian service.
Life aboard the Coral Geographer
The 120-passenger ship has 60 spacious staterooms, all outside-facing, with more than half of them featuring a private balcony and en-suite bathrooms. Due to popular demand, there will be six more Bridge Deck Suites with horizon bathtubs.
A single seating dining with communal table and unassigned seating encourages mingling with fellow travelers. Meals are served as buffet breakfast and lunch, and multi-course plated dinners. All meals are made in small batches, with light and healthy options always available. A selective wine list of Australian wine is available.
Seafood buffets and beach BBQs
Start the day with a continental breakfast, complete with cereal, fresh fruits and yogurts or enjoy a fully cooked breakfast. The lunch buffet showcases a variety of hot and cold dishes, from salads and cold cuts to lighter soups and fresh local seafood and tropical fruits. Dinner is usually a three-course meal from a table d’hôte menu and there is always a choice of main course options. Most of the expeditions feature a welcome seafood buffet night and an Australian style barbecue either on a deserted beach or the sundeck.
Selected beers, juices and soft drinks are also available at the multiple indoor and outdoor bars. Barista-style coffee and tea are complimentary and available 24 hours, with scones or cakes for tea always a welcome treat after an excursion. Special dietary requirements may be accommodated with advance notice.
Onboard entertainment and facilities
The are multiple indoor and outdoor bars to choose from, including the Explorer bar on the vista deck for sunset drinks. A curated wine cellar has boutique wines and exceptional Australian reds.
A small on-board library on the bridge deck features books on destinations and wildlife and an amazing lounge with multimedia is equipped for daily expedition briefings and presentations.
A well-equipped gym and a passenger elevator accessing all decks ensure everyone can move around the ship with ease.
Shore excursions and intrepid exploration
Enjoy over 1000 square meters of open deck space including a wrap-around promenade deck with panoramic views. The navigator observation lounge in the bridge welcomes you to chat with the captain and comfortably observe the ship’s operations and navigation.
Two Xplorer tenders seat all passengers for comfortable shore excursions, and six zodiacs are used for the more intrepid exploration, a flexible fleet that will allow access to even the most hard-to-reach locations. Guests can easily embark and disembark right from the ship to these tenders. On select departures, kayaks and/or a glass-bottom boat are also available on board.
