Description

M/Y Blue Fin is the first in the 'blue o two' fleet and with her understated luxury and unique layout she remains a very popular choice

The Red Sea is a unique Marine Paradise that offers some of the most spectacular Diving in the World. With miles of beautiful coral reef, numerous Wrecks and a vast array of marine life: from brightly coloured Nudibranchs and Tropical fish, to large Pelagics such as Oceanic White-tips and Hammerheads, there really is something for everyone! Whether you are a complete Beginner or an Experienced Diver, your Red Sea experience will be one that you never forget.

Good to know

The MY Blue Fin is 128 feet (39m) long and 28 feet (8.5m) wide. The MY Blue Fin was established in 2005 and refurbished in 2015. To ensure your dive safari holiday becomes a memorable experience, every aspect of MY Blue Fin's design, itinerary and menu have received detailed attention. The MY Blue Fin's goal is to offer the best in terms of underwater experience and leisure-time activities, without compromising any of the comforts, usually found in land-based hotels.

The vessel is a beautiful Yacht, set to discover the fascinating Underwater World of Egypt.

Three huge King Suites dominate the bow on the Lower and Middle Decks, spreading the whole width of the vessel. All King Suites on board this stunning Red Sea liveaboard benefit from a large double bed, en-suite facilities, air-conditioning, mini refrigerators and personal entertainment systems with a large plasma screen. The King Suites are the perfect private retreat for Honeymooners or Couples simply looking for a little extra space and luxury.

All other cabins are Twins and are located on the Lower Deck. Every cabin boasts a mini bar, en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a flat-screen TV with a hard drive containing movies and TV series'. In addition the saloon is equipped with a large plasma screen with a HDMI lead to enable you to connect devices. Bath towels, a beach towel and dressing gowns are provided for every guest. TV's in the communal areas are also equipped with an Apple TV and a hard drive containing movies and TV series. The standard plugs on board are European 2-pin. We provide multi socket extensions with 2-pin and UK 3-pin options. Lastly, we also have USB socket chargers available in your cabins and communal areas.

Part of its philosophy is also that even when sailing the hidden corners of Egypt, good food must not be forgotten

After all, an Army (of Divers) marches on its stomach. They believe that a great meal crafted with care and love ensures that there is enough strength for the following dives!  Lunch and evening meals usually consist of lots of fresh vegetables, rice, chicken, beef and fish. Breakfast is usually eggs cooked to your choice (omelette, fried, poached, boiled or scrambled), pancakes, toast, fresh fruit, cereal. Snacks are available between dives.

Meet the team at 'blue o two'

Specialising in luxury liveaboards, we manage our own award winning fleet in the Egyptian Red Sea; Blue o two are a team of fully qualified BSAC, PADI and SSI Divers and Instructors. With years of diving experience in the Red Sea, we have come together to share our knowledge and provide our customers with outstanding diving holidays and training.

How to get there

You will find advice about the transfer timings for your particular trip on your Booking Confirmation. However, if you are unsure, please don't hesitate to ask your Diviac travel consultant prior to your departure.
The following should be used as a guide:
- Hurghada Airport - Hurghada Marina (vessel departing from Hurghada) = 15mins
- Hurghada Airport - Port Ghalib (vessel departing from Port Ghalib) = 4 hours
- Hurghada Airport - Marsa Alam (vessel departing from Marsa Alam) = 4.5 hours

On longer transfers, snacks and water will be provided. The times quoted are direct travelling times and do not take into account stops on route to allow guests to stretch their legs. You will be transferred from the airport to your vessel upon arrival and from your vessel back to the airport on your departure. Wherever possible, a boat representative will accompany you.  Please note that if you are making your own travel arrangements you will be able to check in on the vessel after 6pm. We will always try our best to welcome your beforehand whenever possible, but the vessels need time to be properly stocked and cleaned before your arrival.
