White Manta Diving (WMD) Standard Operating Procedures Post Covid-19 In light of the impact caused by Covid-19 (Coronavirus), we want to reassure you that our team will be focused round-the-clock on the health and safety of all our guests and crew. WMD are taking standards for hygiene and cleanliness very seriously, as well as additional steps to ensure the safety of our guests and crew members. To assist with social distancing guidelines, we have reduced the maximum number of guests we welcome onboard each trip and for new single bookings, we are offering single occupancy with no additional charge (subject to availability). Our large & spacious vessels each have 2x dining areas (indoor & outdoor), allowing us to limit the number of guests in one area at any one time. Communal areas will also be subject to a maximum occupancy limit during our cruises. WMD has set-up procedures to follow the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), Divers Alert Network (DAN), PADI and local health authorities. All our crew members will adhere to the latest guidance and hygiene protocols, they will be well trained to handle situations that may occur and we have confidence in their abilities. We are committed to providing our guests with a very safe and healthy stay on board. General Health & Hygiene Guidance For Guests and Crew 1. Minimise contact with other guests and crew not within your family/friend group, avoid hand shaking, no touching and respect physical distancing when possible. The WHO (World Health Organisation) recommends that people keep at least a 1 metre / 3 feet distance from each other where possible. 2. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. 3. Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth) because contaminated hands may transfer the virus to your body through these openings. 4. When sneezing or coughing, cover your mouth and nose with bent elbow or tissue and immediately dispose of the tissue in an appropriate place. We will ask our guests to wear a face mask when using indoor common areas. 5. We will provide alcohol-based hand sanitiser in common areas & also recommend guests bring their own for personal use. 6. Self-monitor your health condition. Immediately report any fever, cough, or difficulty breathing to the Cruise Director. Face masks can limit transmission of the virus to others if you are sick or showing symptoms. Guests Our Cruise leader will ensure that guests are given an extra, detailed briefing about the procedures regarding Covid-19 advising on preventive hygiene measures onboard. 7. Guests must handle their own personal belongings, including scuba or snorkelling equipment. 8. Where applicable, guests are encouraged to bring their own diving or snorkelling equipment, if possible. It is highly recommended to have your own mask / snorkel at a minimum. 9. Guests must wash or sanitise their hands after touching their dive or snorkel equipment. 10. Guests should avoid taking any unnecessary material on board the speedboats that is not needed for safety reasons or in-water operations. 11. Guests should preferably use defogging products to defog their mask, the use of saliva is discouraged. 12. After a dive or snorkel guests must not use buckets to rinse masks: rinse them in open water instead. 13. Guests must look after their own masks, placing them in their own designated individual container/area. 14. Where applicable, distancing rules should be respected in relation to the following operations: • Buddy Checks: divers should be reminded to avoid touching other divers’ equipment, especially those parts that come into close contact with the diver’s face and mouth. A visual buddy check should be carried out, with self-demonstration and verbal confirmation. • Gas sharing: both in case of emergency and when performing drills, it is recommended to use an alternative gas source and avoid donating the regulator from which the diver is breathing. Crew WMD crew have been trained & are aware of the importance of preventive hygiene measures and will strictly adhere to the following; 15. Minimise contact with fellow crew members only and keep 1m distance if contact with crew from other boats is necessary. 16. To prevent crew infection between cruises, crew must stay on board as much as possible and must have permission of the Captain and/or Cruise Director to go on shore. They must adhere to all health and hygiene guidance while on land. 17. Crew should avoid touching guest’s diving or snorkelling equipment wherever possible, excluding dive tanks. 18. Dive and snorkel equipment should be loaded on board speedboats when it’s already assembled, if possible. Otherwise dive or snorkel equipment can be assembled by guests once on the speedboat. 19. Rental equipment will be disinfected after use, and at the end of the cruise. 20. Make sure distancing rules are respected also when divers enter and exit the water. 21. Staff handling materials and equipment and dive tanks must practice hand washing and disinfection of high-touch areas including dive tanks and fill stations. It is important that all those carrying out refilling operations follow correct hygiene procedures by washing hands. 22. Personal hygiene and physical distancing procedures should also be observed in gas refill areas. Only authorised people should be allowed to be in the immediate vicinity of compressors. 23. Particular care is required when using alcohol-based disinfectants, including hydroalcoholic hand solutions. A small percentage of alcohol, a highly volatile and flammable substance even at relatively low temperatures, can cause fire or explosion. Avoid direct or indirect contact with equipment, cylinders and filling hoses used for oxygen-enriched air. Wherever possible, it is preferable to use simple soap and water to clean hands. Our Vessels WMD will adhere to preventive hygiene measures in order to minimise the risk of contamination on board. 24. Health, hygiene and safety notices specific to Covid-19 prevention will be displayed on board. 25. Common areas will be disinfected, in particular tables, door handles, hand railings. 26. Proper hand washing facilities are provided in cabins and hand sanitiser will be available on board, especially in common areas. 27. Meal service will be provided in a safe and hygienic manner. Both vessels have large, spacious indoor / outdoor dining areas capable of accommodating up to 20 pax. Service will be split between these areas allowing for safe, social distancing during meals. 28. Guest’s dive and snorkel equipment will be transported and stored in individual containers/areas marked with guest’s name. 29. Avoid washing dive or snorkel equipment in one big rinse tank. 30. WMD will ensure high hygiene standards, recommended by WHO & local government regulations are adhered to when cleaning the boat between trips. Diver Training Any guests taking part in continuing education courses (AOW & EANX) are encouraged to complete e-learning for the academic portion of their training to minimise contact once on board. Emergency Action Plans (EAP) EAP for suspected infection, infected staff or guests and crew, as applicable, will include specific instructions to maintain infection control and commence with immediate isolation of suspected infected persons. If Covid-19 symptoms are displayed by a guest: • The guest will be provided with medical face mask. • The guest will be moved to an isolation area / cabin. The patient should isolate themselves until a clinical team arrives to transfer the patient to appropriate health facility for testing and initial care.

Offer valid for 12* months from original trip date, non-transferable, not to be combined with another offer, subject to availability. New trip price must be less than or equal to original trip booking. If the new trip is of greater value the balance must be collected in full at the time of rescheduling.  This offer is applicable for those; Who have made full balance payment.

For whom travel plans have been made impossible due flight ban / cancellation, travel restrictions / or stay home notices. Are unable to travel due to symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or have a travel or contact history which indicates possible exposure within 15 days of departure (Doctors note is required)

WHAT TO EXPECT

The White Manta is possibly the largest purpose-built dive vessel in the region. Measuring 46 x 10 m this steel hull vessel is spacious and comfortable. The 14 double and twin cabins each have beautifully furnished en suite cabins, averaging at 20 sqm in size. White Manta also has a number of family-friendly cabins with combined double/twin share options available. An open outdoor al fresco dining area and an indoor air conditioned room for fine dining, speaks of the perfect onboard ambiance of a luxury dive vacation.

With maximum comfort and safety in mind, the White Manta is well equipped with safety facilities, cruises at 10 knots, and the steel hull makes her an ideal vessel for long haul cruises as she is able to reach the most remote & exotic diving destinations. Built for sea worthiness, the New White Manta operates on twin engines and is dependable for comfort, convenience and a stress-free dive trip.

The Thai chef is regarded as one of the best in the region, preparing delicious meals, sumptuous snacks & treats throughout the day, you will never go hungry onboard White Manta! Start your day with freshly-baked bread. With 5 meals a day you will be filled and satisfied with an extensive range of treats. Further snacks, tea and coffee, hot chocolate and drinking water are also available all day long. The large refrigerator is fully stocked with chilled drinks and special dietary requests can be catered for with prior notice. Guests can choose to dine in air conditioned comfort in the indoor dining area which can accommodate up to 24 guests, or you can enjoy the magnificent meals al fresco. The air-conditioned saloon is a perfect place to chill out and watch a movie, read a book or a magazine, or sit with your computer and edit treasured moments of the dives.

White Manta is a true photographer's dream. A dedicated indoor camera room with plenty of room to set up your DSLR cameras, strobes, lenses, extra battery packs, a charging area and storage space is available for laptop, cameras, torches or DPVs. 

The partially-shaded sundeck is a perfect place to catch a tan, enjoy a relaxing massage, or take a nap. The expansive dive deck and professional organisation enables divers to assemble and dissemble their equipment in comfort and ease. Divers enter the water from one of the 4 chase boats ensuring the best underwater experience at exactly the right spot. Warm towels, hot drinks and fresh fruit are available after every dive.
