Details

Step aboard The Charismatic Junk and spend your liveaboard diving holiday visiting some of the most fantastic dive sites in Thailand

The Junk liveaboard is an exquisite historical vessel measuring 33 meters in length, which caters to liveaboard diving holidays in Thailand. Originally constructed in 1962 as a sailing cargo vessel, it underwent a comprehensive overhaul and refitting in 1997 to transform into the vessel it is today. Crafted from the finest Asian teak wood, recognized as Takien Tong, The Junk is a three-mast junk vessel boasting 330 square meters of sails, blending both functionality and aesthetics.

The Junk has the capacity to warmly host 18 divers on board. Accommodation options consist of two versatile double/twin cabins, two triple berth cabins, and two quad cabins, accommodating up to four divers in twin bunk beds. All cabins come equipped with air conditioning, fans, and private en-suite facilities.

In the spacious, air-conditioned saloon, one can appreciate the ornate décor, featuring hand-carved shelves, drawers, and cabinets that conceal an onboard entertainment selection. Guests have the privilege of selecting from a library of books, videos, and mini discs to amuse themselves while not submerged in the water. A generously sized flat-screen TV is thoughtfully placed for optimal viewing, ensuring a relaxing experience in the saloon area.

The dining experience aboard The Junk is truly top-notch. Offering a diverse range of dishes encompassing Asian-themed cuisine and more traditional Western-style options, guests have an abundance of choices to savor. In addition to the regularly scheduled meals throughout the day, fresh fruit and extra snacks are perpetually accessible. These delectable meals are served in the open-design saloon, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding oceans through its many windows as guests indulge in the exceptional cuisine onboard.

An expansive dive and leisure deck presents copious space for divers to gear up and unwind. For underwater photographers and videographers, The Junk provides large freshwater rinsing tanks and designated areas for charging and equipment preparation.
