Central America is a very narrow isthmus of southern North America extending from Mexico to Panama. If you're looking for large pelagic animals, head to the Pacific to dive Mexico's Socorro's Island, Costa Rica’s Cocos Island or Colombia's Malpelo Island – to mention just a few of the areas iconic spots. If you want warm water bustling with life, head to the Caribbean to dive Roatan’s walls, Belize’s Blue Hole or dive at Mexico's famous Cozumel. Other iconic dives include Drake Island for pirate wrecks, crater diving in El Salvador and the Corn Islands in Nicaragua for the famous "Blowing Rock". Some site are only accessible by liveaboard and others are just steps off the beach from your resort. Rich culture and friendly people add to a scuba diving trip to this region
