Down Under & Wave

Down Under and Wave Watersports operates daily diving trips with the opportunity for up to four dives per day during guests' stay. They are conveniently situated in the heart of the Ari Atoll, providing access to five of the top ten dive sites in the Maldives.

The typical schedule includes three boat dives per day, with two in the morning at 8:00 and one in the afternoon at 2:30. All dives are led by experienced, multilingual dive instructors and include complimentary Nitrox fills for certified individuals.

Featuring a stunning house reef—one of the best in the Maldives—Down Under and Wave Watersports offers a perfect introductory dive experience. They offer a range of PADI dive courses, from introductory to professional levels, as well as UV night dives, all within the resort's comfortable facilities.

The regular dive boat is equipped with amenities such as a toilet, shower, refrigerators, espresso machine, tea, fruit plates, living area, and sun deck. Additionally, there is a custom-built gulf craft for speed boat dives and the Escape yacht for exploring the world-famous Whale Shark Haven or other top spots in the atoll. The luxury two-cabin sailing yacht is available for full-day or overnight luxury private charters, operated by captains trained in rescue diving, emergency first response, and CPR.

The shared boat ride to most dive sites typically ranges from 5 to 30 minutes. Departing at 08:00, guests make a dive, enjoy a minimum of 1-hour surface interval, followed by a second dive. They return around 12:30, leaving the afternoon open for other activities.
