The Dive Gurus

The Dive Gurus is an exclusive adventure boutique offering guided dive trips and scuba training from basic open water through to Instructor and technical diving. We are La Paz´s only PADI Five Star Instructor Development Facility.

Our Store is located in Marina Palmira, our dive sites are focused in and around all the islands of La Paz and especially Espiritu Santo Marine Park. The marine park is recognised as one of the best managed protected areas in the world. 

Our philosophy on training and sustainability means we are constantly striving to improve your and our interactions with the environment underwater. 

We also offer DAN, IANTD and TDI courses, support for film crews, scientists and CCR divers. We are renowned for our expeditions, photo & video workshops.

We keep our boats to a maximum of 4 or 6 guided divers ensuring your experience and interactions are intimate and breathtaking.

Taking your experience  beyond the average dive centre.  We have Fourth Element, Apeks and Shearwater computers as our rental equipment. We include nitrox for all our guided divers and in all our courses. 

We pride ourselves on being a sustainability leader. Ensuring no single use plastic is used on our boat and our dive practices have no negative effect on the environment. 

We were awarded the prestigious PADI Eco Award with collaboration with Green Fins, the first dive centre in La Paz to receive this award. 

With over 22 years of experience living and working in La Paz, The Dive Gurus are not just a dive centre, they are the chosen expedition leaders and logistic experts for institutions like The BBC Natural History Unit, Netflix, Disney, National Geographic Society & Television. 

Our recent credits include Netflix Our Planet 1 & 2, BBC Planet Earth 3, Nat Geo´s America Series and Darren Aronofsky’s Immersive Sci-Fi Experience 'Postcards from Earth' for MSG Sphere in Las Vegas
