Extended Horizons | Maui's Boutique Dive Operation Since 1983

Since 1983, Extended Horizons has run small-group dive experiences out of Lahaina, focused on the reefs and lava structures off Maui and Lāna'i. Boutique by design: we cap groups at 10 on the boat and run a 5:1 guide-to-diver ratio on every dive, boat or shore. The group pace stays slow and the attention stays personal.

Our crew are naturalist instructors trained in Hawaiian reef ecology and cultural context. Their knowledge, paired with intentionally small group sizes, delivers a dive you will still be describing long after you leave the water. We carry underwater slates for on-the-spot species identification, so reef life gets named in real time.

From our Lahaina base, we run morning charters to Lāna'i for the Cathedrals and the lava-tube formations the island is known for. On Maui itself, our afternoon boat trips cover the west coast reefs, Honolua Bay in summer, and the Carthaginian wreck when conditions allow. Our guided shore dives put you on the West Maui reef less than 20 yards from the beach, with night dives available for observing eels and active octopus.
