Bajos del Sur is a multi-level dive site that you can enjoy peacefully as an OWD (Owned Diver) down to 18 meters, but which also becomes a deep dive down to 32 meters if you are AOWD (Associated Diver). The dive begins on a shallow area covered by a dense forest of huiro palo (woody plant) and colorful sponges. A school of telescope fish flies above the forest, accompanying you to the deep section. Through increasingly deeper passages, we make our way among nudibranchs and crustaceans to the giant rocks that form an incredible landscape with a sandy bottom. At this depth, we begin to see pink gorgonians, jewel anemones, and whip corals, as well as rockfish such as goatfish and squid. The dive ends with an ascent among brown jellyfish, and a flock of black and white shearwaters will surely be waiting for us on the surface.
