This beautiful dive site takes its name from the Sardinian mask called Mammuthone, whose profile can be found in the sheer cliff that falls into the sea in this place. This beautiful dive site takes its name from the Sardinian mask called Mammuthone, whose profile can be found in the sheer cliff that falls into the sea in this place. The dive is very calm and scenic and culminates with an opening in the rock (not a real cave) that gives us a beautiful play of light and colors. Inside it is possible to observe an ancient Cerianthus, lobsters, worms and crabs of various types. In front of the Mammuthone split we can find various passages full of groupers, corvinas, white breams and parrotfish, which accompany us to a rock jump of about 8 meters where the seabed is sandy and scorpion fish and torpedoes often hide.
