Located in the north of Koh Ngam Yai, Hin Pae is an assembly of rocks that barely protrude the water surface. Underwater, there is never a definite “wall side/ ocean side” during a dive as the layout of the rocks is nicely dispersed. The unique character of this site is created by a Thai shipping vessel which had sunk a bit over two years ago. However, its structure could not withstand the storms and currents and since then has been disassembling herself through the reef. The maximum depth is 24m but the best portion of the dive is between 10-15m. addition, this dive site is not limited to only scuba divers. Snorkelers can also enjoy this dive site as the hard coral reef almost reaches the surface. Hin Pae is abundant in sea anemone, black corals, butterfly fish, barracuda, sting rays and turtles.
