On the Costa Dorada of Spain, L´Ametlla de Mar offers the opportunity for divers of different levels from boat or beach.
With a typically Mediterranean seabed, during the dives it is possible to clearly identify each species of marine life in the region. Among sandbanks, the famous and conserved posidonia serves as a ¨house¨ for castanets, maidens, salps, bream, bream ... And in the small inaccessible cavities are groupers, moray eels, congers and octopuses.
Right in front of the port, less than 15 minutes away by boat, the main attraction is the "cemetery" of sunken ships at different depths.
From the beach to part of the marine life, the caves of Cala Vidre, Cala llobeta and L´Estany make the dives magical and special.
The best time to dive in L´Ametlla de Mar is between the months of June and September.
With the warmer waters in the summer, the dives tend to have clear waters full of marine life.
Equally,Ametlla Diving is open all year round doing courses and departures from the beach or boat for different levels.
