Jardines de la Reina Marine Park is one of the biggest treasures of the Caribbean, on a bigger scale can also be considered as one of the World's best-preserved Marine Areas. The importance of its protection goes beyond the Cuban Waters jurisdiction, as the connectivity between marine ecosystems has international importance.

The liveaboard Jardines Avalon Fleet 1 offers guests the opportunity to dive in sites rarely seen by other Divers with one of the most experienced liveaboard operators in Cuba, Avalon fleet is a Cuban/Italian management company.

Diving and excitement abounds at the third-largest reef in the Caribbean, boasting the region’s best Shark Encounters and an amazing variety of marine species.

What you can expect

The liveaboard Jardines Avalon Fleet 1 comes with air-conditioned cabins, comfortable beds, a Whirlpool on the Sun Deck and an exotic food menu.

Built for luxury diving, the liveaboard Jardines Avalon Fleet 1  has all the amenities to make your diving vacation easy and enjoyable. The layout of the liveaboard Avalon Fleet I is spacious and comfortable, A big Dive Deck houses gear storage, camera table and rinse bins for electronic and non-electronic equipment.

Jardines Avalon Fleet 1  has great accommodation for up to 18 guests in 8 Staterooms: two Staterooms adjacent to the Main Salon, four Staterooms on the Lower Deck and two staterooms on the Middle Deck. All Staterooms are luxurious and have private bathrooms, hot water, comfortable beds, TV, telephone and A/C.

The beautiful oak interior decor has an open and contemporary atmosphere. The lounging area is a large Salon with a set of large inviting sofas that form the central setting and also a desk and PC station. Clean, modern lines combined with a moderate, natural and warm color turn this space into an area that feels like a cozy classical salon. The soft carpet combines remarkably well with the walls. The cushions on the sofas spice things up and give the overall ambiance a subtle edge. In a corner, an intimate Dining Room with a glass table invites for elegant lunches and dinners; just in front, there is a nice Bar. Beside the Bar, a comfortable staircase takes us to the Lower Deck.

On the Upper Deck, the large Dining Area is surrounded by comfortable sofas to relax before dinner and enjoy a Cocktail while watching the sunset. There is a large Bar on one corner with a music system and well equipped to prepare all kinds of Cocktails, and also to assist in the preparation and service during dinner. Beside the Bar, a glass door leads to the Captain’s Bridge, including a nice bathroom and crew cabin. At the end of the large dining room, the stairs lead to the roof, to an open area with Jacuzzi, a majestic Grill, chairs and an excellent panoramic view. Meals are usually served on the Afterdeck where there’s a nice breeze

Dining on board combines the style of the best Continental Italian cuisine with delicious Seafood and traditional Cuban favorites like rice and beans, black bean soup and fried bananas. Beverages available on board are: Bottled mineral water (2 lt/day included in the package), sparkling and tonic water, various soft drinks, juices, beers, rums, whisky and excellent wines.

The Chef on the Jardines Avalon Fleet 1  is excellent. The day starts with a hearty breakfast. Lunch and dinners are primarily fresh fish. Lobster is our speciality and is served in a variety of ways. For those who like something different, chicken, pork and beef are also available. Salads and different fruit are served at every meal. Desserts feature our famous Cuban caramel custard, rum-flavored cakes, cookies, puddings, pies and many others. Vegetarian and kosher meals are served on request with many different choices available.


Between the first and second dive, the dive tenders make excursions to pristine beaches for sunbathing.

Guests will have ample opportunity to explore the land areas of the Gardens of the Queen. Dense Mangroves are perfect for wildlife spotting. Journey through the small waterways in order to find the area’s endangered Cuban Crocodiles. If conditions are perfect, you’ll even have the opportunity to snorkel with these crocodiles. Be sure to bring your camera. You’re going to want a snap shot of that toothy Crocodile smile.

All supplemental purchases made on the liveaboard Jardines Avalon Fleet 1 must be paid with cash. Credit cards are not accepted. Please keep in mind that Euros are the best currency to bring to Cuba. There is a 10% penalty for converting US dollars.
