MV Sea World 1 is a wooden boat constructed in Ranong and operating from the Thai port of Ranong. It offers trips to the mesmerising Mergui Archipelago and Similan Islands.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A compact liveaboard, Sea World I features an upper deck with open-air saloon and dining area, plus a large sun deck. In the comfortable saloon you can watch TV and DVDs, choose from the library of reading materials and listen to music on the stereo system. If you prefer to get out of the shade, you can head to the sundeck where you'll find deck chairs, situated at the front of the boat just in front of the wheelhouse. There are four bunk bed rooms on the upper deck, two double cabins and two bunk beds on the main deck with shared bathrooms. There are three VIP rooms with en suite bathrooms, situated on the main deck.
You will dive either from the dive deck or from the tender, depending on what is best for that dive site. The large dive deck and gearing up area has a platform with rinse tanks, hot water showers & toilets for your post-dive comfort. Nitrox is available so you can maximise your time on Burma’s reefs. MV Sea World 1 is by no means a luxury option but is affordable and will show you some amazing and lesser-visited dive destinations.
Each day enjoy a light pre-dive snack, followed by a cooked american breakfast after your dive. Later on, enjoy a waitress served lunch and dinner in the upper deck's dining area. The menu includes international cuisine plus Burmese, Thai, Chinese and Indian delicious specialities. Fresh fish is often bought locally and barbecued during the trips. Coffee, tea, soft drinks, fruit, drinking water, toast and biscuits are provided free of charge. Beer is available for purchase.
