Welcome to Kalpitiya Diving Center
We are a family-run PADI 5-Star Dive Resort based in Kalpitiya, Sri Lanka, offering year-round diving on both the east and west coasts.

Our main branch is in Kalpitiya, but we operate seasonally to give you the best diving conditions:

• East Coast Season (Trincomalee – Sandy Bay): April 10th to October 20th

• West Coast Season (Kalpitiya): November 1st to April 8th

Kalpitiya Diving Center was founded by Mr. Shantha Fernando and is now run by his son, Samith Fernando (Sam) — a PADI MSDT Instructor and EFR Instructor with over 30 years of experience and nearly 20,000 dives around Sri Lanka’s coast.

We are proud of our excellent reputation, with over 1,000 reviews on both Google and TripAdvisor. Kalpitiya Diving Center is a true family business, now in its fourth generation of PADI Pros.

We offer everything from beginner to professional-level courses — including DSD, Open Water, Advanced, Rescue, and Divemaster — as well as fun dives, snorkeling trips, and whale and dolphin watching. Our dive center at Sandy Bay Beach is just minutes from the dive sites — no long boat rides required! Our snorkeling trips are also easy and accessible, with mask and fins.

We use modern, well-maintained equipment and follow high safety standards.
