Pro Dive International Allegro Cozumel

Details

Pro Dive International proudly holds the prestigious title of a PADI 5* Dive Center, gracefully nestled along the resort's picturesque shoreline to the south of the island.

Thanks to their prime location within the esteemed Cozumel National Marine Park, the captivating reefs are just a short 5-10-minute boat ride away! They offer up to four dives each day, including several night dives per week (with a minimum of 6 divers). Furthermore, they organize daily excursions to explore the extraordinary Cenotes on the mainland. The diving itinerary comprises two dives at 8:00 am and two at 1 pm, typically conducted without the need to return to the dive center between dives.

Guests are strongly encouraged to partake in their daily excursion to one of the intriguing cenotes – exploring the caverns beneath is a truly distinctive adventure. Visitors will be picked up near the Playa del Carmen ferry pier, transported to one of the awe-inspiring caverns, and conduct two dives in distinct areas. A pleasant picnic featuring sandwiches and non-alcoholic beverages is provided between the two dives. Diving groups are strictly limited to 4 divers per cavern instructor, adhering to regulations and safety protocols. The package includes transportation within the Riviera Maya (excluding taxi and ferry fees in Cozumel), entrance fees, a flashlight, a cavern guide, sandwiches, and non-alcoholic beverages.

For those who wish to bring a camera, please be aware that some cenote owners may impose an additional cash fee of up to MXN 1000 or may have strict policies against camera usage. The water temperature hovers around 24 degrees Celsius/ 75 degrees Fahrenheit, making a 5 mm wetsuit advisable. If needed, simply inform them, and they will gladly include it in your package before your excursion day.

Please bear in mind that a local reef dive is a prerequisite before embarking on cenote dives to ensure proficient buoyancy and diving skills, ensuring your safety. The minimum age for cenote diving is 15 years old.

Please note that a pool check is needed if you have not dove within 12 months and a refresher after 24 months. We kindly ask our divers to start their package with an afternoon mid-deep dive for safety reasons.
