Experienced divers and beginners alike will enjoy the fantastic shipwrecks (RMS Rhone) and sloping coral reefs found around the British Virgin Islands, the perfect destination for liveaboard diving.
The best diving in the British Virgin Islands is spread out around Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Scrub Island, Cooper Island and Jost Van Dyke. Most dives are suitable to all levels and feature memorable elements such as shipwrecks, seamounts, coral gardens and sandy bottoms. A couple of the most famous sites include the RMS Rhone shipwreck and the seamount known as Blonde Rock where you’ll find sea turtles, stingrays, nurse sharks and barracuda. Because of the distance between the best sites of the BVI, liveaboard diving is recommended. Typical itineraries last from 3 to 6 nights, and the best time to dive in the area is from October to June.
