Improve your confidence and become a better dive buddy through fun-role playing and skill practice. Practice self-rescue and learn how to help others in case of exhaustion, panic or real emergency situations.
The PADI Rescue Diver Course is one of the most comprehensive and strenuous programs, but also the most entertaining one. Although the rescue scenarios are to be taken seriously, you will have a great time with your dive instructor, learn a lot & laugh a lot. Compared to previous courses, the Rescue Diver Course is more about learning new skills, how to react above and below the surface, rather than being guided underwater for a fun dive. We want to make the scenarios as real as possible to be trained well.
Learn how to think like a rescue diver through skill practice with an instructor. You'll start your first phase and practice basic rescue skills and then show you can effectively apply them in open water. The water training sessions are serious fun. You'll practice handling scenarios such as a leg cramp and assisting a tired diver by role-playing with other students and your instructor.
The Rescue Course has a duration of two days of in-water training, starting at approx. 8:15 in Playa Chica.
Important:
The participation in the Emergency First Response Course (EFR) is required for training and certification as a Rescue Diver to ensure full training in dealing with rescues and emergencies (unless you have proof of primary & secondary care withing the last 24 months). Therefore, it has to be booked in addition to the Rescue Course. As EFR training and Rescue go hand in hand, we integrate the EFR course into your schedule and will spend one afternoon at the Dive Center for the EFR training. Please contact us for further info to add up your EFR training after booking.
If possible we meet directly at the dive and snorkel site in Playa Chica (P.º Barrilla, 3, 35510 Tías, Las Palmas, Spain). Please be at the meeting point 5 min before. Once arrived you will see a bunch of divers and dive center cars. You will find our team near by the last bench, when walking from the restaurant towards the sandy parking (ocean on left hand side). Look out for blue IKEA bags and you will spot us easily :) If your accommodation is not in walking distance and you do not have a rental car, please inform us early enough to assist you in terms of your arrival.
