PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor

A PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is an intensive program designed to provide you with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience necessary to become a PADI Instructor. The program is conducted over a period of about two weeks and covers a wide range of topics, including diving theory, teaching methods, risk management, and dive equipment.

During the IDC at Malapascua Exotic Island Dive Resort, you can expect to receive world-class training from experienced PADI Course Directors and IDC Staff Instructors. You will participate in classroom sessions, confined water training, and open water training, all of which will prepare you for the Instructor Examination (IE).

The IDC will cover the following topics:

• Dive theory, including physics, physiology, and decompression theory
• Dive skills and techniques, including rescue skills, teaching methods, and risk management
• PADI Standards and Procedures
• Teaching PADI courses from beginner to Divemaster level
• Marketing and business practices for scuba diving professionals
• Conducting and managing Open Water Diver courses
• Preparing for and taking the Instructor Examination (IE)

Throughout the IDC, you will have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills and receive feedback from experienced PADI professionals. By the end of the program, you should have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a successful PADI Instructor and lead others into the underwater world.
