From colourful nudibranchs to elusive frog fish and sea horses, your guide will dedicate the dive to moving super slowly through the water and stopping to show you some mind-blowing wildlife!
The Macro Lover dive package takes place in Cabo San Lucas as this is where our guides are diving frequently and have the best chances to find you the best macro life that's being discovered day by day. We visit some of the sites known for different types of macrolife, as well as offering our divers the chance to night dive and see even more unusual animals. Don't forget, in between the slow paced diving of looking for macro, you are sure to stumble upon the large animals that make Los Cabos a top diving destination!
We meet at the dive center at 7.30 on the first day and dive 2 tanks in Cabo San Lucas (CSL) Marine Reserve. It's common to see nudibranchs, octopus, eels, blennies, sea horses, frog fish, tiny crustaceans and even fan tailed pipefish dancing behind green moray eels. We return to the marina in time for lunch and then see you back for a night dive at sunset. The night dive sees the awakening of seahares, worms, flowering california cup corals, crustaceans and much, much more. The bioluminescence shimmers when we dim our lights and fish even change their colours to blend into the night. No experience necessary, all our staff are instructors. This is a shared guided dive however, so just ask if you want the night dive to be upgraded to a private guide.
The second day we venture over to the corridor area and make 2 dives in this area to see what we can find. This area is typically grassier with shallower, rocky reef which gives divers a chance to discover the octopus, nudibranchs, eels, scorpion fish, Christmas Tree worms, blennies and crustaceans that live there. We will then make a third dive to one of the dive sites not yet visited in the CSL Marine reserve.
The last day is back to 2 dive sites in the CSL Marine Reserve. The canyon wall is extensive with a lot of area to cover. Some dive sites have 3 areas so you won't need to go to the same dive area twice!
Your guide will finish the package dives with a logging session if you wish to sit and go through and identify what you have seen on your dives!
We are in Plaza Nautica next to the Tesoro Hotel. Find DIAMONTE store or the CASINO. Walk towards CABO Cantina bar on the main road. Go into the Plaza Nautica at the side of the Cabo Cantina bar. Keep walking straight ahead. If coming from the marina, the dive shop is located behind DOCK J. Walk from Dock J to the main road and enter the Plaza at Cabo Sailing.
