Once we receive your booking, we double check availability with the dive operator and reserve your spot

2. CONFIRMATION

We usually get back to you within 24 hours to confirm that your booking is final

3. 48H FREE CANCELLATION PERIOD

You then have 48 hours to take care of other travel arrangements. Your credit card will only be charged after that period

Best dive sites in Cebu

Talima – This reef and wall dive is a firm favourite of many Cebu divers due to the healthy, vibrant corals and abundant fish life. Look out for groupers, oriental sweetlips, schooling batfish, jacks and snappers. The remains of the small wreck are teeming with marine life. Nalusuan Island – This marine protected area offers world-class corals, a colourful shallow reef top and a steep slope. The biodiversity is impressive with schooling snappers, trevally, grouper and barracuda as well as a plethora of reef fish. Look out for stingrays, passing sea turtles and even a mermaid statue. This is a stunning dive from start to safety stop. Hilutongan Island – Kaleidoscopic corals, incredible fish biomass, turtles, schooling giant trevally, snapper, jacks and sweetlips are all highlights of this marine sanctuary dive site. The colourful topography, clear waters and calm conditions make this site suitable for all divers and a must for wide-angle photographers. Monad Shoal – Located in Malapascua, in Cebu’s north, this submerged sea mount is one of Cebu’s most famous dive sites and the best spot for thresher sharks sightings. Diving here is either a “swimming dive” or on a stationary line waiting for the sharks to approach. Close encounters with these incredible predators are not unusual. It’s a thrilling dive. Pescador Island - Located in Moalboal, in Cebu’s south-west, this protected marine park is one of the most famous dive spots in the area for good reasons. Underwater, this small island is a diver’s playground with tunnels, caverns and swim throughs. Fish life is abundant here and you’ll find white tip reef sharks, schooling barracudas, sardines, jacks and occasional thresher sharks. The diversity and mass of reef fish is breathtaking.

Resort Description

Magic Island Dive Resort can be found in Moalboal, located on the green island of Cebu, Philippines. 

Tucked away amongst tropical gardens are 10 cottages with air conditioning and private balconies with comfy seating. 

The resort has a swimming pool with spacious lounging areas, sun beds and umbrellas. The spa offers a range of massage services and beauty treatments. 

In the dining area, all tables are linked together to allow guests to sit together and talk about the amazing underwater creatures they saw that day (private dining available on request). The bar serves tropical cocktails made with fresh fruit and branded spirits. 

During your stay, you can explore local waterfalls or rent a motorcycle and visit the local market or long white sand beaches in the neighbourhood. 

 

How to get there

Arrival 

  • Cebu City has an international airport with flights from a number if international airlines. 
  • Cebu airport is 90 km from Moalboal. When you arrive at the airport, you will find the resort's team ready and waiting to take you by car on the scenic two and a half hour coastal and mountain road drive to the resort (advance notice required). 
  • The drivers are easy to recognize at the exit of the airport, because of the signboard with your name and the name of the resort on them.
  • Please share your flight details with us as soon as possible following booking confirmation, so we can make arrangements for your pick up. 
  • If you are traveling by yourself then it is easier to find a local cab. Ask the driver to take you to 'Magic Island Dive Resort in Tongo, Basdiot, Moalboal, Cebu'.
  • Check in time is 2pm, but the resort can be flexible provided advance notice is given. 

Departure

  • Check out time is 12pm, but the resort aims to be flexible as long as they know your plans ahead of time. 
  • Upon check out, the resort will arrange a driver to take you back to the airport in Cebu.
  • Please give us your flight details as soon as possible, so we can arrange the transfer. 
  • If you are heading elsewhere, just ask the resort the day before you leave and they will arrange a transfer on your behalf.
