Designed by a diver for divers,, SMY Ondina offers an authentic experience combined with modern comfort and safety.
Launched in 2001, it is a traditional wooden Phinisi built in South Sulawesi by the seafaring Bugis tribes using time-honored craftsmanship and tropical hardwoods.
Accommodating up to 16 guests, the eight air-conditioned cabins feature en-suite bathrooms. Two forward cabins have twin bunks, while the remaining six offer a double bed with an additional single bunk. Three electric generators provide a continuous 220V power supply with European-style sockets.
Currently based in Sorong, SMY Ondina explores Raja Ampat, Cenderawasih, the northern Banda Sea, Triton Bay, and Halmahera. Its itineraries navigate the heart of the Coral Triangle, home to the planet’s richest marine biodiversity.
The vessel prioritizes comfort and practicality over unnecessary luxury, ensuring an affordable yet enriching dive experience. Catering to divers of all levels, from beginners to advanced photographers, the experienced crew provides flexible yet professional service tailored to individual needs.
