• What’s included with this lifetime certification: rental BCD, rental regulator, rental weights, and rental wetsuit; use of the pool, an instructor and four beach dives! Boat option is available for a fee! Ask our employees! Age restrictions: must be 15 or older; if under 18, must provide a guardian consent. Must purchase or bring in your own mask, fins, logbook, gloves, booties, and snorkel (available for purchase online at Beach Cities Scuba Centers or on site at Beach Cities Scuba). PADI E-Learning and the Recreational Dive Planner crew-pak is required purchases from Beach Cities Scuba. The PADI E-learning is completed at home! Once you've completed the performance requirements for academics, pool and ocean, you are a certified Open Water Diver! A lifetime certification! Pool sessions valid at Oceanside, Cypress and Laguna Beach! Orientations held at Dana Point, Cypress, Oceanside and Huntington Beach! Beach Cities Scuba’s Semi-Private Open Water Diver course is imparted over the course of four days, which can be tailored to fit the needs of each student. After a brief orientation, the first weekend starts with a pool session, which covers the basics of equipment usage and quizzes students on the favorite colors of all known fish before taking to the safe confines of a pool. Four subsequent dives take place in the open ocean, giving each student the chance to dive off the edge of a boat or from the beach. Students must provide their mask, fins, logbook, gloves, booties, and snorkel, which can be purchased at an excellent discount through Beach Cities Scuba’s store; all training materials are theirs to keep ( PADI E-Learning, Recreational Dive Planner crew-pak). Materials are not included and are required to be purchased on site. All students will conduct their academics in an e-learning environment.
