Once we receive your booking, we double check availability with the dive operator and reserve your spot

2. CONFIRMATION

We usually get back to you within 24 hours to confirm that your booking is final

3. 48H FREE CANCELLATION PERIOD

You then have 48 hours to take care of other travel arrangements. Your credit card will only be charged after that period

  • 55.0% of the total booking amount will be charged if you cancel more than 52 days prior to arrival

  • 100.0% will be charged if you cancel less than 37 days prior to arrival

Description

Our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre is on the idyllic Gaya Island, just 10 minutes by boat from Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, Malaysia. 

The  dive centre is right on the beach, surrounded by dense, tropical rainforest, from where we offer adventures both below the water’s surface and above. We cater to fun divers, pro divers and groups with tailored programs to suit your needs and all-inclusive packages means that once paid, there is nothing else to worry about. Our island operations are supported by our travel and dive shop on the mainland, where you can book accommodation, travel and buy any equipment you may need for diving, hiking Mt. Resort Description

Downbelow Eco Lodge is based in the heart of Kota Kinabalu Times Square, with a PADI dive center on premise and free transfers to the jetty.

Downbelow Marine & Wildlife dive center has set up its own accommodation to give divers ultimate convenience and flexibility. The clean and comfortable rooms are air-conditioned and are the perfect place to rest in between dives. Enjoy diving among exotic fish and colorful corals in crystal clear Malaysian seas, and swim with turtles, reef fish and macro life including barracuda, clown fish, flamboyant cuttlefish and much more. 

How to get there

Arrival 

  • Kota Kinabalu International Airport is a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport. Ask for Kota Kinabalu Times Square.
  • From Times Square, head to the courtyard at the center and look for the brightly colored “DOWNBELOW” sign above the dive shop at Block F Lot 33.
  • Alternatively, you can arrange an airport transfer in advance for an additional fee (advance notice required). 
  • Check-in time is 2 pm. 

Departure

  • Check-out time is 12 noon.
  • Upon check-out, the Downbelow Team will help you call a taxi back to the airport.
  • Alternatively, if you have organised an airport transfer, your driver will assist you with your bags and drop you at the airport.
