The affordable Tarata offers year-round liveaboard dive safaris to Komodo National Park, home of current-swept seamounts, pelagics and pristine reefs.
The beautiful wooden liveaboard vessel Tarata accommodates intimate groups of Dive Safari Adventurers to Grand Komodo. Besides the shore excursions to witness in person the infamous Komodo Dragons, Divers will be astounded at the water clarity, biodiversity, large pelagics and vibrant reefs as well as the diverse underwater seascapes. Year-round diving takes place in famous sites such as Current City, Manta Point, Pink Beach, Manta Alley, Cannibal Rock and Three Sisters.
Tarata is part of Grand Komodo’s fleet, pioneer of Dive Cruises in Indonesia. We take pride in employing experienced trained local Dive Masters, Captains, chase boat drivers, compressor operators, engineers, cooks and cabin attendants: All will be happy to share their knowledge of the area with you and introduce you to local traditions and culture.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
The Tarata is 84 feet (25.5m) long fully adapted diving liveaboard accommodating small diving groups. It is a simple, clean, and well organized boat perfect for a limited budget. The 10 English speaking crew members provide quality and personalized attention for the 12 guests. The 6 cabins are located on the Lower Deck and include 2 Double bed cabins, and 4 Bunk bed cabins. Each cabin has a private bathroom with hot water showers, portholes and air conditioning. The stylish and comfortable cabins are perfect for privacy and relaxing between dives.
Between dives, guests aboard the liveaboard Tarata will enjoy a variety of options for entertainment
Located on the Main Deck is the roomy and fan cooled lounge area with a TV, CD/DVD player, as well as an assortment of movies, CDs and books. Hang out and relax with your favorite movie or head to the upper Sun Deck equipped with long chairs for some napping in the sun. Of course there will be lots of adventures during the land excursion, and guests are welcome to snorkel between dives.
The liveaboard Tarata prides themselves on not only comfortable accommodation but mouth watering cuisine for their guests. The crew understands the need to provide quality food to fuel the action-packed dives. Guests will enjoy 3 meals a day, buffet style in the large Saloon. Fresh vegetables and fruit are served at each meal. Snacks will be served between meals to make sure no guest ever goes hungry aboard the Tarata. Soft drinks and beer will be available for purchase. Special diets can be accommodated with advance notice.
