The Azores’ islands, owing to their geographic position, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, a mild climate and natural beauty of the bottom of its sea are undoubtedly one of the best paces for diving in Europe, allowing in its crystal clear waters the observation of an amazing diversity of underwater fauna and flora. One of the experiences most sought out by the divers that visit us is diving with manta rays who very often swim gracefully around the divers, the island of S. Miguel is the preferred spot for their observation, spots like Sabrina, Lourenços, Formigas Islets, the Dollabarat coral reefs or the baixa do Ambrósio constitute an exceptional group for observing this species. What to expect

Our snorkeling program consists in a boat trip to the spot and 1 hour in water with a dive guide, the spot depends on the weather conditions but usually, we do the snorkeling in “Ilhéu de São Roque”. This spot is a volcanic crater close the Dive Center, and the depth around is between 3 and 12 meters.

Great because we can see the bottom from the surface. There we observe lots of colored small fishes, octopus, red and brown sea stars, black and yellow morays, parrot fish and sometimes some sting rays.

The price of activity includes full equipment (wet suit, boots, fins, mask and snorkel) and insurance, the meeting time is at 14:30h in our Booking Center, that is located in Marina Pêro de Teive in front of Marina Atlântico Hotel.
