Explore the abundant waters in the Cabo Marine Reserve with your private instructor! Tons of pufferfish, tropical fish families, rays, octopus and even sea lions are some of the underwater wildlife you can see! Expert, safety-minded instructors.
Come and check-in at the dive center where you will meet your expert, experienced instructor and register in an online classroom (we will send this to you in advance if you book a few days in anticipation of the tour). Next, you'll try on equipment: Expect to wear a wetsuit! All you need is a bathing suit underneath - we have changing facilities onsite. Once we have packed your equipment, you will have an orientation to breathing and swimming underwater. Then it's time to get wet! You'll take your first breaths under the water right next to the boat. Then, near the surface in a safety area, you'll practice 3 or 4 skills to get you comfortable to venture deeper.
You can see the following aquatic animals: pufferfish, octopus, sea lions, turtles, too many tropical fish families to list here, snapper, jacks, mobula rays, eagle rays, sting rays, torpedo rays, moral eels, zebra eels, sea horses, lobster, parrotfish and much, much more!
You are under no pressure (pun intended!) to go deep. We can dive to the depth of a swimming pool, or we can head on down to 40ft/12m if you're super happy! We teach you how to communicate and you're in total control. We'll show you the shallow side of the reef and if you LOVE it and you want more (you will) then we will have a second tank on standby to go again!
You can ask us how this contributes to the full Open Water Course Certification if you want to do more with us in the days after.
Please note the following: Firstly, there is a medical questionnaire to fill in in the online classroom. It will ask you if you have some medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, heart issues etc. Also, recent surgeries should be completely healed before attempting to dive. We will give you a full refund if you cannot dive, however, we would need you to let us know in advance if you pass the medical. Once you book we will be in contact about this via email. Secondly, We need a minimum of 2 divers to make this a private class. If you are just one person, go ahead and book and we will pair you with someone else.

We are located in Plaza Nautica just behind DOCK J on the Marina or, from the main road, we can be found by walking into the Plaza from CABO Cantina (NOT Baja Cantina). The large pink Plaza Nautica is next to the famous Tesoro Hotel. Parking is available at the Casino parking lot for $45 mxn pesos/hr (about $2 USD), or you can find free parking along any white-curbed street nearby.
