Bali Hai Diving Adventures is a PADI 5* dive center offering a fun and professional attitude to diving around Nusa Lembongan, Penida, and Diving Trips in Bali.

Operating in Bali for over 30 years, Bali Hai Diving Adventures offers divers the chance to encounter mantas, turtles, reef sharks, and hundreds of reef fish and coral species during a week’s diving around Nusa Lembongan. Between July and November, look out for the rare mola-mola (oceanic sunfish).

The 11 passionate dive masters and instructors have 90+ years of combined diving experience on the nearby reefs and offer training and excursions to suit all needs and experience levels. Professional boat captains are equally seasoned, with an intimate knowledge of the local seas.

Fully-equipped facilities include a quality gear storage facility, a range of well-maintained rental gear, rinse tanks, classrooms, and an on-site training pool. The new, purpose-built dive boats are speedy and provide ample shaded space for 20 divers.

The dive team run daily trips to the 12+ biodiverse, world-famous dive sites minutes from the resort. Look out for blue starfish, silvery jacks, barracuda, damsel fish, yellow back fusiliers, and many more darting amongst soft corals and sponges. With a variety of wall dives and coral gardens to choose from, you’ll find yourself in an underwater paradise.

Requirements

  • No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping.

What to expect

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is Knowledge Development, which covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving. The second is Confined Water Dives, which are training sessions conducted in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the gear you'll be using and practice the basic skills of diving and techniques to keep you safe. The third is your Open Water Dives. This is what it's all about - you'll make your first dives in the ocean! During four dives, you'll perform various skills under water and on the surface to make sure you're a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first part of the dive, meaning that you will get to spend a big part of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world. As soon as your open water training dives are approved by your instructor you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver! This means you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world down to 18 meters, lifelong!
