PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Bali Hai Diving Adventures Lembongan is a PADI 5* dive center offering a fun and professional attitude to diving around Menjangan Island.

Operating in Bali for over 30 years, Bali Hai Diving Adventures Lembongan offers divers the chance to encounter mantas, turtles, reef sharks, and hundreds of reef fish and coral species during a week’s diving around Lembongan and Penida Island. Between July and October, look out for the rare mola-mola (oceanic sunfish).

The 12 passionate dive masters and instructors have 90+ years combined diving experience on the nearby reefs and offer training and excursions to suit all needs and experience levels. Professional boat captains are equally seasoned, with an intimate knowledge of the local seas.

Fully equipped facilities include a quality gear storage facility, a range of well-maintained rental gear, rinse tanks, classrooms, and an on-site training pool. The new, purpose-built dive boats are speedy and provide ample shaded space for 20 divers.

The dive team runs daily trips to the 12+ biodiverse, world-famous dive sites minutes from the resort. Look out for blue starfish, silvery jacks, barracuda, damsel fish, yellow back fusiliers, and many more darting amongst soft corals and sponges. With a variety of wall dives and coral gardens to choose from, you’ll find yourself in an underwater paradise.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+

  • No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping.

What to expect

The PADI Open Water Diver Course is divided into three main phases:

1) Knowledge Development

You’ll receive all the learning materials needed to get started. This phase covers essential scuba diving principles, including basic techniques, terminology, and safety procedures. For each topic, you’ll read explanations and watch video demonstrations. 

2) Confined Water Dives

These training sessions take place in a swimming pool or pool-like conditions. Here, you’ll learn and practice fundamental diving skills and safety techniques, including how to handle potential emergency situations. These sessions are fun, hands-on, and give you the chance to become comfortable with your gear in a controlled and safe environment.

3) Open Water Dives

This is the highlight of the course—your first real dives in the ocean! You’ll complete four open water dives, during which you'll demonstrate key skills both underwater and at the surface to confirm your ability as a safe, competent diver. After the training portion of each dive, you'll have plenty of time to explore the vibrant underwater world with your instructor.
Once you successfully complete the open water training dives, you’ll become a certified PADI Open Water Diver. This lifelong certification allows you to rent dive gear and dive anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 meters!

Daily Meeting Point:
Our dive center is located at Mushroom Bay, Nusa Lembongan, within the Hai Tide Beach Resort.
Please arrive between 10:00 – 10:15 AM on the first day. The session typically concludes around 3:00 PM.
