PADI 5 Star Dive Center

OK Divers is a unique and relaxed dive center operated by experienced professionals.

The dive center runs daily boat trips to over 15 varied dive sites. The boats are fast, comfortable and managed by Nangah, a super-experienced captain with impeccable safety record.

A full range of PADI recreational training courses are offered, including specialities and refresher courses.

Rental gear is a range of Aqualung, SeaQuest and Scubapro, all of which is washed daily and dried in an outdoor drying zone. There is a large equipment room to store your own equipment.

There is a 2.7m deep swimming pool for skill development and facilities for photographer and videographers.

Good to know:

The PADI Dive & Stay package encompasses dives exclusively in the Padangbai area. While Padangbai offers approximately seven captivating dive spots, committing to do more dives in this region may lead to some repetition.

If guests are interested in exploring dive sites beyond Padangbai, additional charges for an upgrade will apply.

No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping. Students will need to complete a self-assessment medical form at start of course

What to expect

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is Knowledge Development, which covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving. The second is Confined Water Dives, which are training sessions conducted in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the gear you'll be using and practice the basic skills of diving and techniques to keep you safe. The third is your Open Water Dives. This is what it's all about - you'll make your first dives in the ocean! During four dives, you'll perform various skills under water and on the surface to make sure you're a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first part of the dive, meaning that you will get to spend a big part of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world. As soon as your open water training dives are approved by your instructor you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver! This means you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world down to 18 meters, lifelong!

Once you are in Padangbai just come to our dive center which is located just few steps from the main jetty on the main beach of Padangbai. Let our staff know your name and you instructor will take care of you from that moment. If you would like to be picked up, please contact us, we can arrange it for you.
