Temple Diving was established in 2019 by a French family. The name was inspired by a station on Paris Metro Line 3, ¨Temple¨, willing to become the best underwater station for the divers around the world to experience the amazing sea life of Nusa Penida, Bali. In June 2024 Mar Adentro Diving took over the dive center, determined to fulfill the founders’ mission.
Temple Diving is located in the north part of the island, not far from Pura Ped, and we are lucky enough to have direct access to the beach. On a clear day, you can enjoy your morning coffee and the view of the alluring Gunung Agung, while waiting for your equipment to be set by our professional and friendly staff.
We believe that SCUBA Diving should be safe and fun. Because we prioritize quality over quantity, all of our rental diving gear is in good condition and regularly serviced by qualified professionals. Our PADI Instructor and Divemaster are professional in training and attitude, experienced in the tricky waters of Nusa Penida and will always go the extra mile to provide you with the greatest underwater and marine life encounters.
Up to 22 dive sites can be listed in Nusa Penida; some are ideal for new divers, whereas others are more challenging and require experience. At the dive sites at Manta Point and Manta Bay, manta rays can be seen virtually year-round. Additionally, if you're lucky, you might be able to meet the fascinating mola-mola, between July and October. Searching for unusual underwater topography or corals? Don't worry, Nusa Penida is currently home to 576 species of reef fish and 296 kinds of coral because of the local currents, which bring in a lot of nutrients from the deep sea!
Last but not least, Temple is a perfect place to become a diver or to enrol in the Discover Scuba Diving experience. Not only do we have a pool where you can comfortably practice all the skills, but our instructors are known by their patience, empathy and quality of teaching.
